Mega Meeting of the Opposition in Bengaluru

Top leaders of the country's opposition parties are going to have a two-day unity meeting in Bengaluru from today. This will be the second meeting of these leaders. Earlier on June 23, 17 parties united in Patna. Political plans to be explored here could include joint programs at the national level, but the decision on possible seat-sharing between the opposition parties would be left to the respective state units, people familiar with the issue said on Sunday.

Opposition meeting at Bengaluru

A total of 26 parties are expected to participate in Bengaluru, showing the growing strength of opposition unity. This number is nine more than the meeting held in Patna. It is being told that in the meantime, the opposition leaders will attend an informal meeting. This will be followed by a dinner by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday and a marathon meeting from 11 am on Tuesday.
