Born on May 18, 1951, Dhankhar has also been a Supreme Court advocate and is also the former president of Rajasthan High Court Bar Association, Jaipur. Dhankhar assumed the charge of Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha on August 11, 2022. Before this, Jagdeep Dhankhar was the Governor of West Bengal.
