Dr. Raman Singh is an Indian politician who has been active in the state of Chhattisgarh. He served as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh for three consecutive terms from 2003 to 2018.
Raman Singh was born on 15 October 1952 in Kawardha, Chhattisgarh. He is a medical doctor by profession and his background is in Ayurvedic medicine. He entered politics and became a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the state of Madhya Pradesh in 1990 and later in Chhattisgarh after it became a separate state from Madhya Pradesh in 2000.
