Dense fog enveloped Delhi NCR on Monday and Tuesday morning. At the same time, in many parts of North India, the havoc of “Sheetlahar” has continued again. There is a possibility of a cold wave in Delhi for two days. Due to sunshine during the day, the people of the capital get some relief from the cold. The maximum temperature in the capital was recorded at 18 degree Celsius on Monday. While the minimum temperature was 6 degree Celsius. The Meteorological Department had expressed the possibility regarding the temperature of January 3 that on this day the maximum temperature could be around 17 degrees and the minimum temperature could be around 5 degrees.The cold wave conditions will continue on January 4 and 5, due to which the maximum temperature can be recorded at 18 degrees and the minimum temperature can be around 4 degrees. There is a possibility of severe cold on 6th and 7th January as well. The minimum temperature these days can be recorded at 5 degrees.

According to the weather agency Skymet, there is no possibility of Western Disturbance this time. In such a situation, the weather can remain very dry. In the next two days, there is a possibility of severe cold even during the day.

Gurgaon – No respite even from the sun
At the beginning of the year, a major drop of 4.9 degree Celsius was recorded in the maximum temperature. At the same time, the minimum temperature rolled at 4.9 degrees. However, during this time the sky remained clear with sunshine. Cold winds also blew at a speed of 10 to 12 per hour. Due to the change in the weather, a yellow alert has been issued by the Chandigarh Meteorological Center for Gurgaon and other districts of South Haryana along with the warning of  cold waves for the next 5 days.

Manmohan Singh, director of the Meteorological Department, has said that the weather in the state is very dry and there is fog in some places. Whereas in Gurgaon and its surrounding areas, the weather is blooming due to wind. There is a possibility of cold waves from 3 to 6 January. Due to this, a drop in minimum and maximum temperature can be recorded.
