For the forthcoming Chhath Puja, the Center has begun operating more than 250 special trains, according to Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.
“We have started around 250 trains for Chhath Puja. There are around 1.4 lakh open slots, and we shall take every required action to help the populace, “said Ashwini Viashnaw.

Notably, Indian Railways operates 2,561 journeys of 211 special trains (in pairs) until Chhath Puja this year to handle the increased passenger demand during the current holiday season.

He said that he also wished the Chhath Puja well.

The Union Minister said, “I wish everyone a very joyful and successful Chhath Puja.

During the event observed between October 28 and October 31 this year, they worship the Sun God.

The Indian Railways will operate an additional 32 special services, according to a statement made public earlier this month by the Ministry of Railways, to ensure that passengers have a smooth and enjoyable journey during this festive season.

Major rail routes around the nation, including those to Darbhanga, Azamgarh, Saharsa, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Firozpur, Patna, Katihar, and Amritsar, among others, have been planned for special trains. According to an earlier Ministry statement, “May I Help You” booths are open at key stations with RPF personnel and TTEs to provide passengers with the required aid and direction. At big stations, medical teams are on call. The paramedical team and ambulance are both available.

Any irregularities, such as seat cornering, excessive pricing, and hawking activities, are closely observed. The Railways Ministry had earlier stated that crowd control measures were being taken by creating lineups at the terminus stations under the supervision of RPF officers to ensure that passengers entered unreserved coaches promptly.

One of the most blessed festivals in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Eastern Uttar Pradesh is Chhath Puja. The ceremony of “Nahai Khai” marks the beginning of the four-day celebration, which concludes with “Usha Arghya” (prayers to the rising sun).

During the event observed between October 28 and October 31 this year, they worship the Sun God.

The celebration honors Surya Bhagwan (the Sun God), who is regarded as the source of all life on Earth.
