  •  28 April 1945- Benito Mussolini, A Italian dictator and his Mistress were shot to death.

‘‘The death of Benito Mussolini, happened on 28 April 1945, in the final days of World War II in Europe, when he was summarily executed by an Italian partisan in the small village of Giulino di Mezzegra in northern Italy. The typically acknowledged version of events is that Mussolini was shot by Walter Audisio, a communist partisan. However, since the end of the war, the circumstances of Mussolini’s death, and the identity of his executioner, have been subjects of continuing dispute and controversy in Italy.’’

  •  28 April 1952 – The Sino-Japanese Peace Treaty (Treaty of Taipei) is signed between Japan and the Republic of China to officially end the Second Sino-Japanese War.

The Sino-Japanese peace treaty commonly known as the Treaty of Taipei was a peace treaty between Japan and the Republic of China (ROC).
The treaty of Taipei was signed in Taipei, Taiwan on 28 April 1945.

It was done in order to officially end the Second World War between the Republic of China and Japan (1937–45). 

  •  28 April 1952 – The Treaty of San Francisco( treaty of peace with Japan) comes into force, revitalising peaceful relations with and ending its state of war with most of the Allies of World War II.

The treaty of San Francisco also known as the Treaty of Peace with Japan came into execution in order to re-establish peaceful and harmonious relations with Japan and “the Allied Powers on behalf of the United Nations by ending the legal state of war and providing redress for hostile actions up to and including World War II.” 

On 8 September 1951 The treaty of San Francisco was signed by 49 nations in San Francisco, California, U.S. at the War Memorial Opera House.

  • 28 April 1758– The Marathas defeated the Afghans in the Battle of Attock.

The battle of Attock was between the Maratha Empire and Durrani Empire. It took place on 28 April 1758.

The Marathas had an assertive victory and eventually, Attock was captured by the Marathas.

‘The Durrani Empire or the Afghan Empire was also known as the Sadozai Kingdom was an Afghan empire that was based in Central Asia and founded by Ahmad Shah Durrani in 1747.’
