BTS's fifth album "Arirang" to release on March 20

K-Pop legends BTS are all set to release their highly anticipated album, which will be released on March 20, named "Arirang" as a tribute to the Korean heritage. Fans are buzzing with excitement to see their favourite group release music once again after a long hiatus.

Icons of a generation and global superstars Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS) are all geared up for their comeback with a long-awaited album and world tour.

Bighit Entertainment announced BTS's comeback and information about their upcoming world tour as a group since 2022, after which each member enlisted for mandatory military service. Before leaving to fulfil their duties as citizens of Korea, they focused on solo activities and released music for their fans to keep them entertained through individual efforts.

Since 2022, the group had become inactive, and fans were yearning to witness their performance together. All the members RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, Jung Kook and j-hope are all out of their military service and did a live on Weverse to greet their fans.

As per U.S. Forbes, the title of their album has a deeper meaning: “BTS has revealed the official title of their fifth regular album,” and introduced, “The album title *‘ARIRANG’* holds a deeper meaning beyond just a name.” They further investigated into the meaning of the title “ARIRANG is a Korean folk song with approximately 3,600 variations and over 60 versions. Estimated to have a history of over 600 years, this song holds a special place in Korean identity. It was inscribed twice on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list, with South Korea applying in 2012 and North Korea in 2014.”
