Ajay Singh Re-elected as the Boxing federation of India president 2025

Ajay Singh Re-elected the president of Boxing Federation of India for the third term. He is Co-Founder of Spicejet Airlines. He will be joined by New secretary general Pramod Kumar.

  • Ajay Singh wins the Boxing Federation of India(BCI) election 2025 for the third consecutive term. He defeated Jaslal Pradhan with 40-26 votes to clinch victory. The election was to be conducted 6 months ago but it was postponed due to several reasons.The Election was carried out according to the norms of the World Boxing Federation.
  • Elections were conducted under the supervision of Returning officer Rajesh Tandon and BFI Interim committee head Mohammed Fairuz of Singapore, sent by World Boxing. Mohammed Fairuz later informed that all the processes carried out were as per the criteria laid by the constitution of World Boxing. As an observer, Mohammed was relieved.
  • The original observers did not attend the polls; they were world Boxing president Boris van der Vorst, Secretary General Mike McAtee and No observer from the Sports Ministry and Indian Olympic Association. Pramod Kumar from Uttar Pradesh will be the new secretary General while Pon Baskaran from Tamil Nadu will be the Treasurer.
  • The Elections Result are subject to the Verdict of the Delhi high court, Various State Units had criticized the Constitutional Amendments by the Interim committee that looked over BFI.

  • Ajay Singh went to IIT Delhi and Cornell University. Ajay Singh is the Co-founder of spicejet Airlines started in 2005. Elected As the president Of BFI in 2016 and then again in 2021.
  • He Played a huge role in campaigning for BJP In 2014 General election and coined the slogan “Abki Baar Modi Sarkaar” and Ajay Singh is referred As “chota Ambani”.
  • He also helped in launching Two of the major channels DD News and DD Sports. He also served on the board of Delhi Transport corporation.
