Google Gemini's Personal intelligence for more personalised answers

Google's Gemini just got a new feature which will provide more personalised answers by looking up your Google ecosystem, mails, photos and more. Personal Intelligence is a new beta feature that allows you to get answers to your questions by fetching information from the Personal Google ecosystem.

Google Gemini's new feature "Personal intelligence"

Google recently launched a new feature for Gemini, "Personal intelligence", which will give you a whole new experience of using a Al assistant. It answers all your questions based on the information through a web of all the connected apps.

As you opt in and decide which Google apps to connect, Gemini will pull up the details it is asked to and required. By scanning your emails, photos and search history. It only happens after connecting the apps, and this feature does not work if the apps are not connected. You can disconnect the personalisation at any time. Google said it will not use the personal data for model training at all.

"Personal Intelligence securely connects information from apps like Gmail and Google Photos to make Gemini uniquely helpful. If you turn it on, you control exactly which apps to link, and each one supercharges the experience. It connects Gmail, Photos, YouTube and Search in a single tap, and we’ve designed the setup to be simple and secure." Google stated.

As a modern AI user, you will get personalised answers, not generic ones that resonate with you; all are context-aware and do not feel robotic and common to everybody.

How can Personalisation make your experience better?

Time saved- Artificial intelligence was created to save time, and the personalisation feature does exactly that, it fetches information for you through Emails, photos and more.

Context-based answers- With personalisation, you get context-based answers rather than generic ones.

Privacy controls- You can discontinue the connected apps at any time if you no longer want to get personalised answers.

Google revealed it is a beta version "We’ve tested this beta version of Personal Intelligence extensively to minimize mistakes, but we haven't eliminated them. You may encounter inaccurate responses or “over-personalization,” where the model makes connections between unrelated topics. When you see this, please provide feedback by giving the response a “thumbs down.”
