Not Chinnaswamy stadium but D.Y Patil Stadium to host.
- ICC Announced that the Chinnaswamy stadium which was one of the venues for the five venues for the Tournament has been cancelled and rescheduled in Navi Mumbai’s D.Y Patil Stadium. ICC Chairman Jay shah has called the Patil Stadium Ideal for the Women’s cricket cup tournament.
- The Organisation Was unable to Obtain a permit for conducting the tournament from the Karnataka Government due to the Recent stampede incident during the RCB IPL Victory Celebrations Outside Chinnaswamy Stadium.
- According to ICC, Navi Mumbai’s D.Y Patil Stadium Will host 5 fixtures, Three league Matches, Semi Final and May Host the Final as well. Even though the Final Match’s Venue has not been Announced yet, which will be on 2 Nov. The Tournament will be held in India and Sri Lanka, Which is scheduled to Commence from 30 Sep and end on 2 October.
- They are 5 Venues for the event that includes stadium of India and Sri lanka; D.Y Patil (Navi Mumbai), ACA Stadium(Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), ACS-VDCA Stadium (Vishakapatnam), R.Premadasa Stadium(Colombo, Sri lanka).
ICC Chairman Jay Shah Predicts the success of the upcoming Women’s World cup

- Jay Shah says that he is thrilled about Navi Mumbai being one of the Venues of the Tournament and hopes that the public would appreciate Women’s cricket equally as other tournaments.
- “Navi Mumbai has emerged as a genuine home for women’s cricket in recent years. The support it has received during international fixtures and the Women’s Premier League has been remarkable, creating an atmosphere that elevates the players and inspires fans. - He expressed that all the arrangements have been done and now he is confident that the tournament will positively impact the fans.“While unforeseen circumstances required us to adjust the schedule and replace a venue, we are pleased to now have a line-up of five world-class venues that will showcase the very best of the women’s game. The stage is set, and I am confident this tournament will capture imaginations and inspire a new generation of fans.” Said Jay Shah.
