R. Ashwin Announces Retirement from IPL, calls the decision a “Special Beginning”

On Wednesday, Player Ravichandran Ashwin Announced His Retirement from IPL. He quit Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He Debuted in 2009 with Chennai Super Kings. Ashwin played over 221 matched and known for "Mandaking" Jos Buttler in 2019 IPL. 

R.Ashwin Retires from IPL, Quits CSK

• Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin shared his retirement from the Indian Premier League(IPL).After a Successful Career, Positioning himself as the 5th Highest Wicket Tacker with 187 scalps in the IPL. He debuted in the Indian Premier League in 2009, with CSK itself.

R.Ashwin Played 221 Matches, Scored 833 Runs and Took 183 Wickets

• R.Aswin’s expertise helped CSK win in 2010 and 2011. After CSK was banned from the IPL for nearly two years, Ashwin joined Rising Pune Supergiants. He became the Captain of Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in 2018 and 2019. In the next two seasons he played on behalf of Delhi Capitals.
• Ashwin played for the Rajasthan Royals from 2022 to 2024. In the 2022 ipl, RR Ended up as the Runners up, and Ashwin’s performance was praised as he scored half-century. He Joined CSK In 2025 and has now Retired from the IPL Scenario.
• R. Ashwin is known for “Mandaking” Jos Buttler during an IPL Match In 2019. Ashwin who was bowling noticed that Rajasthan Royal’s Buttler had moved away from the popping crease and He immediately dismissed him.
