SSC Postponed Exams following technical and management Flaws

SSC Selection Post Phase 13 Exams commenced from July 24 since day one candidates reported technical issues, management’s foul behaviour in dealing with the students, Centres with bad infrastructure. Even the centres were allotted 300km away compelling students to stay in lodges after travelling for 2-3 days.

According to various sources, 10 lakh students applied for the Selection post Phase 12 that took place last year. Students prepare for SSC exams for years, giving up on the most productive years of their life in which they could have worked. The resilience and hard work proves their determination to land a government Job.

The Exam Conducting body Tata consultancy was removed and Eduquity was given the charge to conduct the selection post Phase 13 exam. Eduquity a Bengaluru based firm that has handled various exams. Eduquity Career Technologies was previously accused of mishandling MP Patwari exam and possibilities of paper leaks in teacher eligibility exam. The software services providing company was previously blacklisted by the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Also accused by NTA and Maharashtra's CET cell.

All that happened in the protest and Aftermath

In the wake of SSC mishandling and being indecisive about the conduct of proper exams, various Teachers and students from all over the countries ran a hashtag on social media to raise awareness on the issue #SSCmisMANAGEMENT and holds the authorities accountable. Also planned a Peaceful Protest in Delhi “Delhi chalo” To meet Jitendra Singh ( Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions of India ) and Authorities at SSC headquarters.

While protesting and making demands to meet authorities by the teachers, police mercilessly thrashed, abused and arrested the teachers, who were accused of misleading the crowd.
Some well known teachers such as Neetu mam, Vikramjeet sir, Rakesh sir, Aditya Ranjan sir and so many were arrested. One of the teachers was heavily injured. A handful of teachers were released while some are still in custody, with no updates.

Demands are to Reinstate TCS as the Exam conducting body, Rectify the flaws , Not allot Exam centres too far as most of the students appearing do not have enough resources to travel that far, Authorities must care about the expenses as well, hold the concerned authorities responsible.
