Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has announced that a board would be created to oversee a committee to look into the internal affairs of Gaza as an initiative towards a ceasefire between Gaza and Israel.
The Board of Peace is an international initiative announced by U.S. President Donald Trump as an outcome of the ceasefire plans by the U.S. The board will have officials from different parts of the world to discuss the conflicts between Israel and Hamas. The multinational body will work on governance, reconstruction and stability in Gaza. This initiative is part of Trump's 20-point peace plan. Not just that, it will also bring about peace, mobilise resources and support political arrangements for long-term prosperity and stability in the region.
The United Nations, which has looked into the matters of war-stricken and conflict-ridden regions. The role of the international organisation might clash with the Board of Peace for Gaza, and undermine it. The United Nations has not released any statement related to this matter.

Recently, Donald Trump discontinued the participation of the U.S. in a bunch of international organisations.President Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum and executive orders to withdraw from 66 international organisations, including 31 UN entities and 35 non-UN bodies. The U.S. stopped funding these organisations, which later affected the developmental programs on gender equality, climate, humanitarian and more.
President Trump sent a letter to Prime Minister Modi to invite India to join the Board of Peace. The letter said it is going to historic and magnificent effort to bring peace in the Middle East and to resolve global conflicts. U.S. Ambassador Sergio Gor, in his India Visit confirmed that the invitation was indeed sent.
India is one of the countries that has maintained balanced diplomatic ties with Israel and the Palestinians. It is also known for its diplomacy and foreign policy, which has helped India to form meaningful ties with different nations and continue it. U.S. sees India has key partner and Sergio Gor said “No partner is more essential than India.”
