"The 50" shoot begins in Dubai, Himesh Reshammiya as a host?

The shoot for "The 50" has begun in Dubai, as per the reports. Farah Khan is not the host of the show, and Himesh Reshammiya will appear on the first day of the show. Ten captains have been chosen, and the first elimination is done, but the contestant's name has not been disclosed.

The most anticipated show of the year, "The 50", is all set to premiere on 1st February 2026. The shoot for the show has begun, and the captains have been chosen. They are Nikki Tamboli, Rachit, Prince Narula, Raja Dalal, Mr Faisu, Karan Patel, Urvashi Dholakia, Monalisa, Shrutika Arjun, and Krishna Shroff.

The 50 is based on the French series Les Cinquante and the American version Los 50. 50 celebrities are locked together in a grand, castle-like setting. They compete in mental, physical, and psychological challenges and form alliances. The players make strategies and survive in a highly competitive space to win the prize. A masked host called "The Lion" directs and controls the game, and players are eliminated as the game goes forward.

As per the sources, the first elimination has already taken place, but the name is concealed at the moment. The first task took place on the first day, and all 50 contestants were divided into 10 teams, with each team having one captain.

The show is being held in a large double-storey palace set that is going to house 50 contestants, and it is the first time in Indian Television history that it will host 50 contestants. It is indeed going to be a competitive environment. The palace is what the set is being referred to.

Alok Jain, from JioHotstar, told India Today, “The construct on The 50 is that we will put 50 celebrity contestants in a setting and they will have to perform some highly entertaining tasks. There would also be eliminations, and over a period of time, approximately 50 episodes, we will have a winner.” He also said, “So, they would be playing for the fans. The audience can keep choosing who they want to follow and bet on a winner. If they do it correctly, they will earn money. The prize money of this show will be distributed among the fans who have followed and supported them. So, this is the basic construct of the show."
