A circular has been circulated in the Affiliated schools dated Aug 4, to let the institutions know CBSE's Plan for academic Discipline. These Guidelines are exclusively for The candidates appearing in class 10 and class 12 boards.
Cbse has announced new guidelines for the upcoming batch 2026.
Following the rule, Each student must have a minimum attendance of 75% To appear in board exams. Central board of secondary education (cbse) has systematically planned the guidelines for the students and staff across all the affiliated schools. Inspections, Strictness and decorum are to be maintained with proper documentations to avoid manipulation.

Students of class 10 and class 12 are asked to strictly abide by the guidelines laid or else they will not be allowed to appear for the board exams. As per the Rule 13 and Rule 14 Cbse examination by-laws but There are exceptions if case of medical emergencies, Bereavement and participation in national or international sports. On providing all the valid documents, the exceptions are to be awarded.
“Leave with a written Request will be considered unauthorized absence from the school” The circular mentioned. Any Incident of Manipulation will be not taken lightly so the school Authorities must stay alert and CBSE may conduct Surprise Inspections.
In exceptional cases, Students are to provide Real evidence with absolutely no flaws. 
School authorities are to inform the guardians of the ward of all the information at the beginning of the session. In case a student does not class, parents must be notified. If a student doesn’t meet the eligibility they are to be discarded. The attendance will be counted as of Jan 1.
The communication between parents and school authorities must be preserved along with Proformas and SOPs.
If school authorities later on change their claim on certain students who were initially reported to have fallen short of laid guidelines, these claims are not to be taken seriously. Therefore, CBSE has made it clear with their circular that the upcoming session will be handled with strictness and rules that uphold CBSE’s goals.
According to CBSE, This is a way to curb all the flaws within the system of their organization and a way to rectify. Students, parents and guardians are asked to comply with the rules and regulations to avoid any last minute issue.
