Priyanka Chahar is the face of Naagin 7, Ekta Kapoor revealed at Bigg Boss 19

Producer Ekta Kapoor, on her appearance at Bigg Boss 19, has revealed Priyanka Chahar as the next lead of the popular television series Naagin. Priyanka Chahar was a contestant on Bigg Boss 16, and Ekta Kapoor once said that she had found one contestant highly suitable for the role of Naagin. 

Priyanka Chahar is the next Lead in Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 

• At Bigg Boss 19 on Weekend Ka Vaar episode hosted by Salman Khan, Producer and Director Ekta Kapoor has revealed the next face of Naagin Series aired on Colors TV. Priyanka Chahar is the next lead of the series, and fans are excited about her assuming the role. She received praise for her previous role as Tejo Kaur Sandhu in Serial Udaariyaan. 
• Fans had been anticipating the launch of Naagin’s next season and hoped for Priyanka Chahar to be the lead in the show, and it happened to be her. Priyanka was a contestant on Bigg Boss 16 and ended up as the 2nd runner-up, while MC stan won the show. Many believed she deserved to be the winner of the show. Ekta Kapoor. When Ekta Kapoor appeared in one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 16, she offered a role to another contestant, Nimrit Kaur Alhuwalia, in a movie and revealed that she had also found another actress who could fit the role of Naagin. Fans were sure that Ekta Kapoor pointed towards Priyanka Chahar.

• In the latest episode of Weekend Ka Vaar, where Ekta Kapoor promoted the upcoming season of Naagin utilised the opportunity to reveal the face of the show for the first time. Priyanka Chahar appeared in her Naagin look and astonished everybody with her charm. She spoke about how she bagged the role and what supported her favourite contestants in the ongoing season of Bigg Boss, which includes Ashnoor Kaur and Kunickaa Sadanand. 
• Priyanka Chahar said, “I still remember the moment on Bigg Boss 16 when Ekta ma'am said she found her next Naagin and to have her keep that promise and choose me for this legacy is truly an honour.”  “I've always believed that some roles demand an actor to be more than a character; they challenge your strength, your range, and your spirit, and this one is exactly that for me. Taking charge of the Naagin universe is a huge responsibility, and I will do everything in my power to uphold it. • The show is expected to air on Colors TV in November 2025, the specific dates and timings have not been revealed yet. Apart from Priyanka Chahar, Eisha Singh, and Namik Paul are also set to assume lead roles in the show. Previously, the lead role of Naagin had been played by actresses like Mouni Roy, Tejaswi Prakash, and Surbhi Jyoti. 

Who is Priyanka Chahar? 

• Priyanka Chahar is an Indian actress who rose to prominence with her role in Udaariyaan and ended up as the 2nd runner-up in Bigg Boss 16. She was born on August 13, 1996, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. She pursued her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi. She started as a model and shifted towards acting with roles in the episodes of Savdhaan India. 
• In 2019, she made her debut in the TV industry with Gathbandhan, where she played the role of  Sejal Parekh. She appeared in Colors TV shows like Yeh Hai Chahatein (2020) and Udaariyaan(2021). She participated in the Popular reality show Bigg Boss in 2022, where she became the 2nd runner-up. In 2025, Ekta Kapoor cast her as the lead of Naagin 7.
