Rabri Devi and her son Tej Pratap Yadav, asked to vacate their government bungalow

The residence will be assumed by the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister Lakhendra Kumar Roshan.

  • After the significant mandate for the NDA in the Bihar elections, the elected ministers have been assigned to their respective residences for better management, facilities and safety. The building construction department, which is responsible for the construction, management and assigning government quarters, has issued notice to Tej Pratap Yadav, who has currently occupied the government-assigned 26, M Strand Bungalow. Former Chief Minister of Bihar, Rabri Devi, was also issued a notice to vacate her residence at 10 Circular Road.
  • Tej Pratap Yadav has now lost his government residency and cannot stay at his parents' house after the major controversy. Tej Pratap Yadav had already been expelled by his father Lalu Prasad Yadav from the RJD and family for six years after his personal picture with his alleged girlfriend Anushka Yadav circulated online, which strongly backed the claims of his estranged wife, Aishwarya Rai.
  • He was removed from RJD due to his careless attitude towards his responsibilities as a key leader of the party and the eldest son in the family. Tej Pratap Yadav is often viewed as a “reluctant politician” who mostly focuses on religion and did not showcase his political ambitions. His “irresponsible behaviour” was cited as one of the reasons for expelling him from RJD.
  • Tej Pratap Yadav formed a political party, Janshakti Janta Dal, and contested from the Mahua seat, which he lost by a margin of 51,938 votes. He made high-stake claims during the campaign but his party failed to win in even one constituency, his clips went viral from a video on unfiltered by Samdish, which were used as memes.
  • As of now 13 ministers have been allotted government quarters by the Building Construction Department, some of them are Information Technology and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh 4 Strand Road, Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav has been allotted 43 Harding Road; and Industry Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal has been allotted 2 Strand Road.
