On 13th October 2025, Chinese tech company Vivo launched the X300 series in Shanghai, based on the Zeiss 200MP imaging system. It includes two models with the Pro version.
VIVO launched the X300 series
- The long-awaited X300 series has been launched by the tech firm Vivo. It is based on the Zeiss 200MP imaging system; the series is equipped with enhancements in imaging and overall performance. Vivo is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year.
- The X300 series includes two versions: standard and pro model. The standard model features a 200MP Zeiss camera with stabilisation of CIPA 4.5-level and offers a “one photo, multiple crops” function along with AI-integrated features like creating multiple versions of a single image and three-scene story videos.
- The X300 Pro comes with advanced features that are aimed at providing users with the best experience. It features the LYT-828 gimbal main camera with 1/1 28-inch large sensor and CIPA 5.5-level stabilisation. The pro version debuts the world’s first Zeiss 200MP APO super-telephoto lens with 4X zoom.
- The technologies implemented in the X300 series are co-developed with companies like Sony and Zeiss, with a primary focus on the photography experience. It aims to strengthen itself in the field of mobiale photography innovation.
- The Vivo X300 starting price is RMB 4,399 ($620), while the Pro begins at RMB 5,299 ($745). The Standard model has 12GB+256GB, and the Pro model has 12GB+256GB. The X300 series comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and Vivo’s in-house V3+ imaging chip for dual-chip coordination.
- The Pro model runs on OriginOS 6; for the first time, users are enabled to use Vivo’s first ecosystem connectivity with Apple Devices. The X300 series offers 2160Hz high-frequency, brightness dimming features with a minimum brightness of 1 nit, compatible with those seeking an eye-friendly device.

When was Vivo founded?
- Vivo was founded by Shen Wei in 2009. The Chinese tech firm is headquartered in Dongguan. It is a subsidiary of BBK Electronics. It started manufacturing smartphones, and in three years it expanded its international expansion into neighbouring countries like Thailand and east asian countries.
